~ Grand Day of Passata in Northcote ~
On Sunday 19th March we headed down early to All Nations Park in Northcote for the annual Melbourne Tomato Festival. A fine Melbourne day greeted the thousands that came down & it was wonderful to see young & old enjoy all that was on offer. The Home Make It team were doing hands on Passata making all day & nearly a thousand people cut, pulped & bottled Passata with us. We nearly got through 2 tonnes of nice red Roma tomatoes on the day & cannot wait until next year. Here a few of the moments from a wonderful day.

We used 14 of our rugged Fabio Leonardi electric passata machines at the Festival & we are looking to sell these at a fantastic price. They are the 1 horse power version with SP5 attachment. These usually retail for $720 & have been used only on the day of the festival. When Salami season comes around you can easily put on our FLB mincer attachment and it's a mincer ! Last month Merri Mashers hosted it's IPA Competition, with IPA's flying in from every corner. Julian Robinson from the Merri Mashers walked away with the Home Make It choice award for his exceptional Red IPA. Home Make It & our good friends at Craft & Co wanted to offer a special prize, so we are going to brew Julian's Red IPA on the 1000 litre brewhouse at Craft & Co. in May. Look out for this dark, hoppy beast on tap in June. Well done Julian !
