Did you know that Father's Day in Italy is celebrated in March and is known as St. Joseph's Day, or "Festa del Papa"? All over Italy, the Italians honor their fathers by commemorating San Guiseppe, which is the fatherly symbol for love, compassion, kindness, generosity and acceptance.  San Guiseppe or Saint Joseph, father of Jesus Christ is honored on this day. The Italians celebrate "Father's Day" with a grand feast of traditional foods of special Italian dishes, breads and sweets. The families show their love and sincere gratitude to their fathers with gifts and a feast fit for a king.
