This aromatic Mesophilic culture is primarily used in the making of Cheddar, Cheshire, Montery Jack, cobly, Romano, Pecorino and Parmasen cheese. A packet of this size is used for 50lt of milk.
Cheese making is an ancient process of culturing milk. Using a cheese culture helps good bacteria in the milk flourish and leads to a more fully developed flavor in the final cheese. Combining a blend of Mesophilic Cheese Cultures and White Mould Spores, this culture is ideal for making your own Hard cheeses at home.
When stored correctly freeze-dried lactic cultures are typically viable long after any date on the pack.
