Ferrari Batch Filter 2 Pad Gravity System

This Italian made gravity fed filter system consists of a filter housing with hoses and one set of each size filter pads.

V20 - Sterile

V16 - Fine

V8 - Gross

This is a slow gravity filter. You will need to have your liquid at a higher level than the filter while using it. Ideal for processing 10 - 50 litres of wine at a time. 

You can only use one type of pad at a time, as they have different flow rates.

Instructions:

• Soak the pads in freshwater before use to soften them. 
• Insert one pad into each plate and make sure the smooth side of the filter pad is against the concentric ducts of the plates. 
• Insert the ring with two spokes between the two pads to keep them separate, then assemble with the bolts and wing nuts. 
• insert the inlet hose into the ring and insert the outlet hose, linked to the Y connector, into the two connectors on the plates
• To remove any 'paper flavour' let water run through the plates
• Now you can start filtering. Be mindful that the first litre or two of wine leaving the filter will be diluted with water.
• Replace filter pads as the wine flow stops as they will be clogged. 
• Wash with warm water after every use.
